Gino’s Coffee House is named after the late Giovanni (Gino) DeRos.
Gino of Osoyoos, BC passed on October 29, 2023, at the age of 36 following a brave and heroic fight against Brain Cancer.
He left behind his wife Arielle (owner) and 2 young children; a 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son.
Arielle’s mother (Darrien) and sister (Lyndsay) co-owners, moved to Oliver from Langley, BC to help Arielle & Gino while he fought his battle a year prior to his passing.
When Gino passed, Arielle, Lyndsay and Darrien wanted to build a legacy for Gino. Where everyone still talked about him, where he could still bring joy to people, and to honour his name.
Gino’s spirit and personality embody what we envision for our cafe - a welcoming place filled with laughter, community, and connection. Gino’s Coffee House is a reflection of the warmth and joy that Gino brought into our lives.
We welcome you all to Gino’s Coffee House - a place where the spirit of Gino lives on through every cup of coffee and every shared moment.
Gino was well-known, loved, and respected in the communities of Oliver / Osoyoos.
His legacy lives on through his Coffee House.
